BACO Film Face Panels

Description

Film Faced formwork panels with double veneers on both faces and a Spruce blockboard core in the centre.

Universal Plywoods are the agents and distributors for the Schweighofer Group in Austria who produce high end quality Blockboard and Laminboard concrete shuttering panels. BACO panels are produced in Europe and conform to all relevant standards such as the EN mark (European Norms) which is equivalent to the South African SABS standards.

Base Board:

Engineered out of 100% hardwood veneers and a Spruce Conifer core, bonded together in a cross banded construction.

Bonding:

Phenolic resin adhesive cross-bonded weather resistant gluing, suitable for exterior applications, all glue lines are tried and tested WBP (Water Boil Proof) standard AW-DIN 68705

Surface and edges:

Face & reverse:  A dark brown or yellow coloured Phenolic resin, impregnated into both faces 120g/120g

Edge sealing:  Water resistant epoxy based paint.

Applications & comments:

Maxi sized big panels (5400 x 2000) can be used in horizontal table formwork and vertical formwork applications such as lift shaft forming. Concrete surfaces to a very high specification and an excellent off-shutter finish. A very respectable number of re-uses will be achieved, likely to last in the range of 30 uses if professionally handled with respect to stripping practices, cleaning and release agent treatment.
