Plywood is a manufactured panel product composed of veneers glued to both sides of a central veneer layer or lumber strip core. The grades of pine ply range from C/C, which has knots on both sides of the wood, to B/C, which has knots only on one side, to B/B, which is knotless.

Description
Plywood is a manufactured panel product composed of veneers glued to both sides of a central veneer layer or lumber strip core. Wood veneers make up the majority of plywood; timber core plywood is uncommon. The plywood layers are matched by species, thickness, and grain direction. Hot presses with automatic loading are normally used after glue is spread on the panels. Plywood joints are more durable than natural wood due to adhesives made from phenol and urea-formaldehyde. As well as being weather and microorganism resistant, they are also resistant to cold, heat, boiling water, seawater (“marine plywood”), steam, and dry heat. Panels are stacked to cool, then sanded, graded, and stored. All-veneer plywood ranges in thickness from 4mm to 32mm.
